Dream girl

Jessica Mclean is one of our favorite regulars, so when we found out that she was trying to raise some extra cash to aid her in her travels to work on a farm in Hawaii we put our heads together and found a way to score her some extra cash...and put some delightful goodies in our Merchant cabinets.

You see Jessica is crafty, and funny, and her whimsical offerings will put a smile on your face.
Examples you say? Well, here you go.

Offerings include many handmade dream-catchers along with a cheerful needlepoint that says "I hope you step on a Lego", a fun embroidered couple  depicting the scene"You can have my heart, but please don't take my liver" , and a sweet subtle way of saying "Grow a Pair".

Stop by the shop and check out her beautiful and affordable needlepoint and dream catchers before they're all gone!
Happy travels Jess!

OH, and are you crafty? Do you make awesome jewellery, coffee cozies, handmade journals or something else equally awesome?
Let us know!

Dan Hagerty

We saw Dan Hagertys art and immediately decided that we needed to display his work in the coffeehouse. His bold shapes, sense of humor and grand scale meant the pieces have a huge impact as soon as you walk through the door.

"American Politics"

 A little chat with Dan
1- when did you know that you were an artist?
I knew I was an artist at 35 but realized I wanted to be an artist while living in Munich, Germany when I was 19.
2- where do you pull your inspiration from?
The excitement of just being able to do art.
3- What is the most difficult part of being an artist?
People don't need it; so it's hard to sell it.
4- What is your favorite piece that you have created?
My favorite is called "Mayans" and it's currently on display at Hodgepodge Coffee Shop.
5-Which piece of art would you most like to put up in your own home?
The mural I am doing covering the walls of our whole first floor.
6-What is your favorite thing about Atlanta?
The People.

"Friends"

I wish these photos could do Dans work justice, but to get the full effect you should really stop by hodgepodge and check out this great show running until the 18th of August.

Thanks for sharing your talent with us Dan!

A little bit about our love

Recently Lynne sat down with the sweet folks at "On Beauty With Doc Waller" and talked about the coffeehouse.
Enjoy the video and check out www.onbeautywithdocwaller.com for something inspiring! We were so very happy to be involved in a movement that is so positive.
Hooray for everyday heroes!
