Pockets Full of Fish

This past Saturday Kyle Brooks brought a wonderful explosion of color to our gallery walls with his collection entitled "Pockets Full of Fish".
He is most well known for his "Beltline Bears" that he's stuck up all around our great city; but when I approached him about putting on a show at the gallery he was excited about experimenting with a new style.
The fruits of his labor manifested in these wonderful abstract pieces that look almost aboriginal in style with beautiful textures and details.

Vibrant colors and fluid shapes made these paintings a pleasure to look at.

Painting at the beginning of the night.

Kyle spent the majority of the evening actually working on a painting while the reception was going on, stopping intermittently to speak with those who had questions, or wanted to know about his process.

The gallery had such a great energy, as people talked, nibbled on snacks, drank coffee and the champagne of beers while Kyle painted.
Folks of all ages stopped by and enjoyed the festivities.
