Tasty treats

Today Krystle came to the make up counter that I work at part time to give out samples of the cupcakes that we'll be selling at Hodgepodge. The feedback was AWESOME! People were loving every bite!

Pros and Cons

There are a lot things about opening a coffee shop that I don't like (most of them have to do with math), but there are things that are freaking awesome. My favorite? RESEARCH :)


My favorite was the "Red Velvet" cake, but the mint icing. Yum yum yum yum.

She is a cupcake making machine! She even managed to make the most amazing key lime cupcakes when she doesn't even like key lime.

So...who's picking up the tab?

As you can imagine opening up a business takes a lot of green. So for the past couple of weeks we've been trying to get a business plan together so that we can apply for some grants to help with our adventures. It's a very frustrating process.
Unfortunately this means that this song keeps getting stuck in my head. URGH!

Welcome

This was the day. The day that Ashley, Lynne and Krystle decided that they were tired of being underemployed and had the drive, passion and need to make something beautiful with the talents and skills they collectively had.
This was the day that our "Hodgepodge Coffee Shop" was born. Even though we didn't know it yet.
